Prioritizing Player Safety
Shuttlestars Badminton Club utilizes the Rule of Two standard to ensure a safe, supportive environment for all junior participants.
The Rule of Two ensures that a safe, transparent environment is maintained during all interactions between coaches and participants.
By requiring two responsible adults to be present at all times, we prevent situations that could lead to discomfort, isolation, or misconduct.
This approach not only protects the players but also promotes trust and accountability within our community, reinforcing our commitment to safety and support for every participant.

The Rule of Two in Badminton
Ensuring a Safe and Open Environment for All Participants
What is the Rule of Two?
The Rule of Two is a practice designed to create a safe environment by ensuring that two responsible adults (coach, parent, or screened volunteer) are always present with a participant. This rule is enforced during all interactions to keep communication open, observable, and justifiable.
Why It Matters
The Rule of Two helps protect participants by preventing situations where they might feel uncomfortable or at risk. It builds trust between the club, participants, and their families by ensuring transparency and accountability in all coach-athlete interactions.
How We Implement the Rule
At Shuttlestars Badminton Club, we ensure two responsible adults are present at all times during training, transportation, and virtual sessions. We also prioritize gender sensitivity when selecting adults and maintain clear communication with parents and guardians to ensure everyone feels safe.
